May 18, 2024: Join us for our Opening Weekend Activities, and as part of the celebration we will be hosting a plant sale.
Shop a variety of annuals, perennials, vegetables and succulents, including hostas, daylillies and hanging baskets. Concessions available on site.
June 15, 2024: Flag Retirement with VFW Post 1707
Ceremony performed by Portage VFW Post 1707 (location: 215 West Collins St.Portage, WI) at 11:00 a.m. Flags ready to be retired are welcome!
July 20, 2024: Murder Mystery Dinner Join us at VFW Hall to celebrate the famous marriage of Charlotte and Horatio Van Cleve. When a guest turns up dead, will you help us solve the mystery of their murder?

August 17, 2024: State Regent Dedication of Old Military Road Signs
WSDAR State Regent's Project to replace and rededicate missing 1930 road markers that recognize Wisconsin's Old Military Road.
September 7, 2024: Old Military Road 5K Run - Run starts at 9 am. To register for this 5K click here: https://runsignup.com/Race/WI/Portage/wsdar
5K at the Portage Levee Walk to benefit FWSQ. A beautiful view of the Wisconsin River is an added bonus!
September 21, 2024: Fall History Festival 10a.m. to 4 p.m.
Celebrate the harvest season and learn about the past as special guests bring history alive. An old-fashioned sing-along will round out the day.
