Patriot Memorial Garden
The Fort Winnebago Surgeons Quarters historical site hosts a memorial garden dedicated to the memory of Patriots of the American Revolution. Each brick bears the name of a Patriot whose legacy of service, sacrifice, and resiliency shaped and continues to shape Wisconsin families and communities.
Wisconsin Society Daughters of the American Revolution, which owns and preserves the Fort Winnebago Surgeons Quarters historical site, dedicated the Patriot Memorial Garden in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary (1776-2026). In 2019, the Wisconsin Society installed a bronze marker at the garden to commemorate the men and women who achieved American independence. The marker was the first DAR America 250 Patriots Marker to be installed in the nation. |
