QUALIFICATIONS: YOU MUST LOVE OLD BUILDINGS!
Our historic property is seeking part-time historical interpreters for 9-10 hours per week, beginning May 15th and through the season. An historical interpreter assists with daily opening and closing of the property, conducts tours (from a script) highlighting the site and artifacts inside the log cabin and Garrison Schoolhouse, and performs daily housekeeping and gift shop tasks. Training will be provided.
We are seeking great communicators to tell our story. Wages are $16.00 per hour. The property is open 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Saturday and Sunday hours would be expected, with some flexibility.
Fort Winnebago Surgeons Quarters Historic Site (FWSQHS) is owned and operated by the Wisconsin Society Daughters of the American Revolution (WSDAR), a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Preserving this historic site has been a cherished part of the WSDAR mission with support from donors and volunteers since 1939.
